Metered water and sewer, billed together with curbside recycling on one utility bill. The rates below are per cubic metre or per day.

A permit is required for new water and sewer connections. The bulk water station is at the Water Treatment Plant, 204 Assiniboia Avenue. Connection applications and annual water quality reports are on the documents page.

Garbage & recycling
Loraas Disposal collects household garbage and single-stream recycling bi-weekly, with the town split into east-side and west-side routes.

Buy a compost bin or a rain barrel and the Town rebates up to $100 each, per household, per year.
The elm pruning ban
Dutch elm disease has been confirmed in the area. Pruning elm trees is banned every year from April 1 to August 31 under provincial regulation.

Property
Property taxes
Tax notices are due August 31 — and if you pay the municipal portion early in the year, the Town gives a little back.

The Town is selling lots in the new 600–500 Block Third Avenue West subdivision by sealed-envelope tender — residential lots with a two-year tax abatement, artisan-workshop lots with a three-year abatement.
